Is a group of visual artists, musicians and dance artists from Ireland, Finland and Russia. Synthesis is the outcome of the first collaborative period of Kipinä. It was created initially to be shown at Kihaus Festival, Rääkkylä, Finland, July 2006. Synthesis was then brought to the Manege Exhibition Hall, St. Petersburg, in August 2006.
Synthesis
The imagery, music and gestures of Synthesis are sourced from mythologies, from Irish, Finnish and Russian cultures. Water, Air, Earth and Fire are the features of the body of Synthesis. The live performance and music move through, create and interact with the materials of installations pertaining to each element.
